Business communication

Write to be understood, speak to be heard, read to grow!

The definition of communication looks very simple, however, many a times its how we communicate makes or breaks the business and also relations. Being able to communicate effectively is the most important of all life skills. At SIM, we do not limit the learning experience just to a language. We also make them understand the importance of well ā€“ communication and the methods to communicate.

Our business communication classes will cover all forms verbal, non-verbal, visualization and written communication. Today communication channels are not limited to face-to-face or telephone; there are multiple modes.

Following are several methods of business communication taught at SIM classes:

  • Communication via Web which includes dealing with Facebook, Twitter, Blog Writing etc
  • Interactive virtual meetings via video conferencing
  • Attending virtual meetings via Webinars
  • Writing effective e-mails which is an instantaneous medium of written communication worldwide
  • Creating reports and documenting the activities of any department
  • Making presentations which involves usage of audiovisual material, like copies of reports, or material prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe Flash etc
  • Tele-conferencing and meetings
  • Follow-up communication
  • Content making for print media such as brochures and written mails

Ā

Each one of them has its own strengths and weaknesses. Students at SIM not only learn the effective ways of communication, but also know the appropriate communication mode to be used for the situation.
